Misty West


Misty West is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, where she began her training in music, dance, acting and theatre production. She spent much of her high school involved in music and dance, spending two years in the dance company while also placing 5th in the state of Arizona on clarinet her senior year. She went on to  study dance at Arizona State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance. During this time, she also spent two consecutive summers touring the U.S. with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, competing in many DCI competitions spinning flag, rifle, sabre, and dancing. It was during her collegiate dance studies, she began her journey in theatre production as well as acting. Post graduation, she continued her dance technique training while working as a lighting programming and designer for several renowned artists at Mesa Arts Center. She worked production on shows such as Tony Bennett, Tori Amos, John Cleese and Eric Idle, Bernadette Peters, Riverdance, Mythbusters, Ludovico Einaudi, and many others. She even was nominated for a Zoni award for her lighting design on a local production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She also performed as a dancer in Cazo Dance Company. She worked as a choreographer for multiple musicals, including Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as Legally Blonde. It was during this time that she began private voice lessons. She performed in several musicals, such as Chicago, where she played Hunyak the Hungarian and received an award for her performance of the dialect. She also performed in Spamalot, Fiddler on the Roof as Dance Captain, as well as Sweeney Todd. She moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts full time with scholarship, and graduated 2020 as the female recipient of the Charles Jehlinger award in her class. She has since booked a pilot called The Home, and has been involved in several short films. She currently resides in North Hollywood, continues to take dance classes as well as participate in acting workshops, and has distinct plans to get a mini cream colored long haired dachshund for Christmas 2024. :’)
